Independent Contractors are Direct Bill with the Motor Carrier or Owner/Operator.

Standard Programs are Direct Bill with the Insured.

What information is needed to submit a quote?

Standard Program

To assure an accurate quote, underwriters will require completed applications including a listing of vehicles, drivers, motor vehicle records, property locations, 5-year loss runs and financial statements. Submitting this information 30 days in advance is desirable, but we will make every effort to assist you if you are faced with a "rush" situation.

Independent Contractor

To assure an accurate quote, underwriters will require a driver census, 3 years loss runs and a copy of the Independent Contractor lease agreement. For more details, please contact our Independent Contractor Group by phone at 1-800-879-0200 or via email at TGBusiness@TRANSGUARD.com.


Do you offer monoline coverages?

Property and Casualty are typically written as a package policy. The Independent Contractor Program coverages, Occupational Accident and Physical Damage, can be written as monoline.

When can I expect to receive my policy/certificate of coverage?

Standard Program customers will have their policy mailed to their Broker within 14 days of the effective date of coverage.

Independent Contractor Evidence of Coverage will be mailed to each individual driver within two business days of receipt. For a copy of your policy, please contact your customer service representative at 1-800-821-8014.


How do I request a change to my policy?

Standard Program customers should contact their Broker to request a change to their policy.

Independent Contractor customers should contact their customer service representative at 1-800-821-8014.


How long does it take to receive a change to my policy?

If you are a Standard Program customer, policy changes will be mailed within 14 days of your request.

If you are an Independent Contractor, a revised Evidence of Coverage will be mailed out within two business days of receipt.
